PAL’s commitment to the Harlem community can be seen year-round through Afterschool, Summer Day Camp and Teen Center programs PAL offers at its Harlem Center, which keeps youth safe and engaged in skill-building activities under the mentorship of positive role models, including volunteer police officers. The Harlem Center opened in 1999 and works closely with the 28th precinct of the NYPD. Harlem Center serves over 880 youth each year.
