PAL’s commitment to the South Jamaica community can be seen year-round through Afterschool, Summer Day Camp and Teen Center programs PAL offers at its Edward Byrne Center, which keep youth safe and engaged in skill-building activities under the mentorship of positive role models, including volunteer police officers. The Edward Byrne Center opened in 2004 and works closely with the 113th precinct of the NYPD. PAL’s Edward Byrne Center serves over 970 youth each year.
