Summer Youth Employment
Program (SYEP) with PAL

The Summer Youth Employment Program serves as an introduction to the workforce. PAL provides youth ages 16-24 with a wide variety of entry to mid-level positions throughout Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan and the Bronx. Our workforce partnerships will allow you the participant to discover and explore diverse career paths while earning money.

The program is designed to help you develop and enhance transferable skills, such as leadership, teamwork and communication skills.

Download the App

You can download and install our App from either from Google Play (Android) or from the Apple Store (iOS).

Sign In

Once you have installed the app, go to the SYEP option and sign in using your Application ID.

You have to complete a quick
Orientation before apply for jobs

Reminder

To log in, you need your SYEP Application ID that was assigned to you when you submitted your application. If you are not sure where to find it, contact PAL SYEP Support.

Job Selection

Select your top 3 job choices that interest you the most. You will be notified in the app which job you'll be hired for.

Reminder

Before you can select a job, you must complete a 2-step orientation. See orientation process for more details.

Navigating through the Webportal

You can utilize both the Webportal and the app mutually with access to all of the same features:

  • Messenger
  • Orientation
  • Worksites
  • Documents

Notice: Downloading the app is not required but is recommended. Webportal users are limited to email notifications only. Downloading the app allows you to receive SMS messages and email notifications.

Who can select their SYEP Job:

  • Participants who know their SYEP Application ID #
  • Participants who have completed your two-step orientation
  • articipants who do not have outstanding enrollment documents
