About the Program

Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) with PAL

The Summer Youth Employment Program serves as an introduction to the workforce. PAL provides youth ages 16–24 with a wide variety of entry to mid-level positions throughout Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan and the Bronx.

Our workforce partnerships allow you to discover and explore diverse career paths while earning money. The program is designed to help you develop transferable skills such as leadership, teamwork and communication.

How It Works

Select Your SYEP Job in Three Easy Steps

Download the App

Download and install the PAL NYC app from Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS).

Sign In

Sign in using your SYEP Application ID that was assigned when you submitted your application.

Start Applying

Complete your orientation then browse and select your top 3 job choices. You'll be notified of your placement in the app.

Reminder

To log in, you need your SYEP Application ID. If you're not sure where to find it, contact PAL SYEP Support.

Job Selection

Select your top 3 job choices that interest you most. You'll be notified in the app which job you'll be hired for.

Orientation Required

Before selecting a job, you must complete a 2-step orientation. Make sure to complete it before the deadline.
